If you think you could manage your debt if you could get it down to a reasonable monthly payment amount, a debt consolidation loan may work for you. It means you take out a loan and use the money to pay all of your bills off, getting rid of high interest rates and large totaled payments and reducing them down to just one single payment. You can still file a bankruptcy if it does not work out, but debt consolidation may not fix the real problem for you and you may not be able to get a debt consolidation loan anyway.
